The Community Safety Vanguard has commended the National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, for leading an intelligence-driven security strategies, delivering sustained victories for frontline troops.

The National Coordinator of the pressure group, Comrade Abbas Johnson who gave the commendation in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja, also called for improved welfare to frontline security personnel fighting terrorists.

He said that the group remained committed to promoting peace, national stability and citizens’ security across Nigeria.

Johnson noted that security agencies, through coordinated intelligence-led operations, recently intercepted and seized arms, ammunition, fuel, logistics and communication equipment meant for terrorist groups.

He said the operations significantly disrupted terrorist’s supply chains, weakening insurgents’ operational capacity and restricting their access to vital resources and movement.

According to him, Ribadu’s strategy has struck terrorists at the core, while fostering unprecedented synergy, collaboration and operational efficiency among Nigeria’s security agencies.

He said the strengthened inter-agency cooperation has translated into measurable victories for military personnel and security operatives risking their lives daily.

Johnson commended the Armed Forces, Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services (DSS), Defense Intelligence Agency and Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) for their diligence in tackling insecurity.

He commended their unwavering dedication, sacrifice and round-the-clock efforts in combating insurgency, terrorism and other security threats across the country.

While celebrating these achievements, he urged the federal government to prioritise improved welfare packages for security personnel confronting insurgents nationwide.

He stressed that adequate welfare remained a critical morale-booster for personnel operating under dangerous and demanding frontline conditions.

According to him, the organisation also recommended the immediate establishment of a sustainable insurance policy for all frontline security personnel across Nigeria.

Johnson said such a policy should guarantee long-term security, education, healthcare and dignified livelihoods for families of fallen heroes.

He further advocated a more proactive intelligence-led doctrine focused on preventing terrorist attacks before execution rather than responding afterward.

He urged Ribadu to remain resolute, ignore distractions and criticisms and stay focused on securing Nigeria and protecting citizens.

Johnson further expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu’s administration for morale-boosting initiatives, supporting security personnel and strengthening national defence efforts.

He said the measures reflected government’s commitment to troop welfare and reinforce trust between authorities and defenders of Nigeria’s democracy.

He reaffirmed its readiness to support all sincere efforts aimed at restoring lasting peace, security and stability across Nigeria.(NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
