The Forum of National Youth Leaders of All Political Parties in Nigeria (FNYLPPN) has called for stronger collaboration among government institutions and other stakeholders to address insecurity in the country.

The Chairman of the Forum, Eze Chukwu, made the call at a press conference on the state of the nation on Friday in Abuja.

He said there was need for sustained national efforts to tackle terrorism, banditry and kidnapping, noting that insecurity remained a major concern in parts of the country.

Chukwu said government at all levels, security agencies, traditional institutions and communities must work more closely to improve safety and strengthen security responses.

He also advised against the circulation of graphic content relating to criminal activities on social media, saying it could contribute to fear and further complicate security efforts.

According to him, citizens have a role to play by supporting security agencies while remaining responsible in their online engagement.

Chukwu also reiterated the Forum’s call for greater inclusion of young Nigerians in governance, noting that youths make up a significant portion of the population.

He said efforts should be made to expand opportunities for youth participation in political and leadership processes, while promoting cooperation between younger and older generations.

He added that such balance would help strengthen governance and national development.(NAN) www.nannews.ng
