A non-governmental organisation, Chen Education and Development Empowerment (CEDE), has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting good governance, strategic leadership, accountability and transforming lives through education and sustainable development.

The organisation made the pledge on Friday in Abuja during the inauguration of its Advisory Board.

The Executive Director of CEDE, Mrs Cynthia Anaele, said the organisation had continued to design and implement integrated interventions to address the needs of underserved communities since its establishment.

She listed CEDE’s core programme areas as education and learning development, digital transformation and inclusion, disability inclusion and accessible development, and humanitarian and charitable response.

Other focus areas, she said, include healthcare support and community well-being, environmental sustainability, policy advocacy, good governance, and public health advocacy.

Anaele said the organisation remained committed to advancing education, human dignity, social inclusion and sustainable development.

“CEDE is dedicated to advancing education, human dignity, social inclusion and sustainable development.

“It empowers individuals and underserved communities with the knowledge, support and resources needed to realise their full potential and contribute to inclusive and sustainable development,” she said.

She described the inauguration of the Advisory Board as a significant milestone in strengthening the organisation’s institutional capacity and governance structure.

According to her, the board will enhance CEDE’s ability to deliver impactful programmes while reinforcing its commitment to accountability, strategic leadership and long-term sustainability.

“We are honoured to welcome accomplished individuals who bring valuable experience, insight and commitment to our vision of creating a society where everyone has access to education, equal opportunities and the resources needed to live with dignity.

“The Advisory Board will provide strategic guidance, technical expertise and independent advice to support CEDE’s mission.

“It will also play a critical role in strengthening partnerships, promoting innovation, enhancing organisational sustainability and supporting the effective implementation of programmes that improve the lives of vulnerable populations,” she said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the inaugurated board members are Mr Osagie Itamah, Ade Mhir, Oreoluwa Adelakun and Somto Mbelu. (NAN) www.nannews.ng
