God’s Citizens Worldwide, an international non-governmental organisation, has honoured the Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Zephaniah Jisalo, with two awards for his leadership and public service.
The organisation presented Jisalo with awards for “Outstanding Leadership” and “Africa’s Most Excellent Administrator in Public Service and Inter-Governmental Affairs”.
The President and Founder of the organisation, Chief Wisdom Okoye, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Abuja.
Okoye said the awards recognised Jisalo’s role in administering and coordinating special duties and inter-governmental affairs.
According to him, the minister’s performance had contributed to the implementation of the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“We looked at the administration and coordination of special duties and inter-governmental affairs under the leadership of the minister, and we saw a model that deserved recognition.
“What stands him out is the way he has approached his responsibilities and coordinated the affairs under his ministry.
“We believe his leadership has helped define the potential and dividends of the Renewed Hope Agenda within the areas under his responsibility,” he said.
Okoye said God’s Citizens Worldwide had a tradition of recognising individuals who had distinguished themselves through their contributions to society.
He said the organisation had presented similar awards in Kenya, Zambia, the United Arab Emirates, the United States and Nigeria.
“We believe that good works should be acknowledged and encouraged, particularly when they contribute to national development.
“It is important that Nigerians and the international community also recognise positive developments within government and project the good works of Nigerian public servants,” he said.
Okoye said the organisation also sought to promote positive developments in Nigeria and highlight the contributions of public servants.
He expressed support for President Bola Tinubu and said he would promote the President ahead of the 2027 elections.
“I believe in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu because I see him as a leader and a builder of men.
“I believe he has demonstrated the willingness to work with people across the different states and backgrounds of Nigeria.
“That is why I have decided to support and promote him ahead of 2027. For me, it is about supporting what I believe will contribute to the development of Nigeria,” he said.
Okoye said the organisation would continue to promote what it considered positive initiatives of the Nigerian government internationally.
He added that its activities extended beyond awards to humanitarian outreaches and other projects in countries where it operated.
Responding, Jisalo thanked the organisation for the recognition and said the awards would encourage him to remain committed to his responsibilities.
“I will make sure this NGO gets national recognition, as they have honoured me today,” he said.
Jisalo also urged Nigerians to support the Tinubu administration, saying the President had good intentions for the country.
He said government officials needed the support of citizens and stakeholders to implement policies and programmes effectively. (NAN)
