Popular Nollywood actor and film producer, Bolanle Ninalowo, has become brand ambassador for Shalina Healthcare, a pharmaceutical company.
Ninalowo was made brand ambassador of one of the company’s brands, “Polygel”.
Introducing Ninalowo, Sandeep Sahu, West African Deputy General Manager, Marketing of the company, said the decision was deliberately made by the pharmaceutical company.
Sahu said Ninalowo was made brand ambassador based on the similarities between the personality of the actor and Polygel as a brand.
He said, “qualities and values that make Polygel to stand out and be unique among all other brands of antacid are also traceable to Ninalowo as an actor.
“It is interesting to note that, just like Polygel, as an antacid brand, Ninalowo as an actor is also popular, top rated, efficient, adventurous, professional, proven, tested and trusted.
“Choosing Ninalowo as our ambassador is with the conviction that his values are in line with what Polygel as a brand and by extension, Shalina as a company represent.”
Also, Mr Femi Laleye, Brand Manager, Gastro and Anti-Infective of the company, speaking further on Polygel, said “Polygel by Shalina Healthcare is a balanced combination of dried aluminium hydroxide gel and magnesium hydroxide.
“And it also contains the anti-flatulent agent, simethicone.
“As a result, it is helpful in relief of indigestion, heartburn, sour stomach, gastritis, stomach discomfort due to excess gas, hyperacidity and ulceration in the digestive tract.
“Polygel is scientifically proven and well reported in medical literature, furthermore, Polygel offers a rapid and longer-lasting calming effect on stomach acidity.”
Arun Raj, Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Shalina West Africa, reiterated that the company is committed to its founding principles.
“The principles are the three pillars of affordability, availability and quality which are key to the company in its efforts to consistently produce brands that support and grow the quality of healthcare delivery in Africa,” he said.
In his response, Ninalowo said that he decided to join the pharmaceutical company as a brand ambassador, not just because of his love for marketing.
He said this was also for the commitment of the company to initiatives and ideas that concern the masses.
“I always want to sell, but mostly to touch lives and connect with the people. The main synergy I see with me and Shalina is its passion for the people which informed the affordability of its products.
“I am very delighted to be here and I sincerely appreciate the management of the company.
“I am honored as well as humbled to be recognised, I will jealously guide this opportunity. I am set and I can’t wait to promote Polygel to the world,” he said. (NAN) (nannews.ng)
