The Stëfolga Mobile Clinic has continued its free medical outreach programme in Kwara, providing essential healthcare services to underserved communities and improving residents’ wellbeing.

Coordinator of the initiative, Mrs Korie Biola, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the outreach programme is sponsored by Mr Femi Sanni(Araba) Chairman of the organisation and Flow FM 92.7.

She said the programme is designed to reach less privileged residents through free medical consultations, medications, health screenings and minor surgical procedures.

Biola said that during the December 2025 outreach at Tanke Oke Odo, Ilorin, about 150 patients benefited from medical check-ups and free medications, while one minor surgical procedure was successfully carried out.

She added that the February 2026 outreach held at the Emir’s Palace, Ilorin, recorded about 450 beneficiaries who received consultations, medications and health screenings.

According to her, common medical conditions treated during the outreaches include hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, malaria, and peptic and duodenal ulcers.

Biola said that three major life-threatening cases were recently attended, while many patients benefited from essential medications and professional medical care.

“Patients with complex cases were referred to the teaching hospital for further management, with financial assistance provided for surgical interventions estimated at between N800,000 and N1,500,000 per case,” she said.

She noted that many lives had so far been directly impacted by the outreach, adding that the number continued to grow.

Biola expressed appreciation to the medical team, partners and sponsors for their sustained support, describing the initiative as “care in action” and a demonstration of the impact of collaborative efforts in improving community health.

She also called on stakeholders and well-meaning individuals to support initiatives aimed at expanding access to healthcare for vulnerable communities in the state.

Meanwhile, NAN recalls that Sanni had declared his intention to contest the 2027 Kwara governorship election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Sanni, who is a chieftain of the party, called for a consultative and inclusive process in selecting the next leader of the state, stressing the need to reflect the aspirations of the people.

He said leadership must be anchored on competence, integrity, inclusiveness and a proven track record to ensure sustainable development.

According to him, his decision to join the race followed wide consultations across the three senatorial districts of the state.

Sanni described himself as a bridge-builder committed to unity and progress, outlining his priorities to include youth empowerment, economic growth and transforming Kwara into a conference and business hub. (NAN)
