The Speaker, Kebbi House of Assembly, Alhaji Muhammad Usman-Zuru, has been laid to rest in his hometown, Zuru in Zuru Local Government Area of Kebbi.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that late Usman-Zuru died on Monday while receiving treatment in a hospital in Egypt.
The speaker has been laid to rest according to Islamic rites after a funeral prayer at Zuru Central Mosque on Thursday.

The funeral prayer was led by the Chief Imam of Zuru Central Mosque, Imam Suleiman Tanko, who prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive his excesses.
The late speaker had been battling with an illness for some time which made him frequent Egypt for medical attention.
Late Usman-Zuru, who died at the age of 56, left behind a wife and five children.(NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
