The National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA) has restated its commitment to transforming Nigeria’s agricultural sector to achieve food security and sovereignty.
The Executive Secretary, Cornelius Adebayo, made the assurance during a capacity-building workshop for the authority’s State Coordinators from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory on Wednesday in Abuja.

The workshop, themed “Leading Nigeria’s Agricultural Revolution: Steering NALDA Towards Excellence (From Vision to Abundance, Creating Strategic Alignment to Drive Results and Scale Impact)” was designed to align coordinators with NALDA’s strategic vision for 2031.
Adebayo urged the coordinators to embrace the authority’s mandate, which includes land development and utilisation, integrated farm estates, empowerment of farmers, agricultural mechanisation, rural development, and job creation.
He said the retreat was necessary to ensure synergy between the headquarters and state coordinators for effective implementation of NALDA’s projects.
“Few weeks ago, we held a retreat for the directors and heads of departments. We would have a structural problem if there is a disconnect between the headquarters and state coordinators.
“As NALDA’s field officers, you are in charge of executing projects in your states. You are at the centre of achieving Nigeria’s agricultural transformation,” Adebayo added.
He encouraged the coordinators to leave the retreat with a renewed mindset, saying: “Together, we can build the Nigeria of our dreams, and NALDA is at the centre of achieving that”.(NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
