The newly elected National chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, on Wednesday said the party would fix Nigeria’s numerous challenges if elected in 2027.

Baba-Ahmed said this during the inauguration of the newly elected executives at the party secretariat in Abuja.

He said that PRP was the only party with strong internal cohesion without crisis.

According to him, PRP still has faith in Nigeria and will do everything possible to provide solutions to the numerous challenges facing the country.

While calling on Nigerians to join the party to rescue the country, the chairman urged potential voters to go and register so that they could vote for PRP in 2027 .

”The PRP is the best party you can find right now because we just conducted the most credible and transparent convention three days ago.

“Our symbol, which is the key, opens doors, and we will use it to open doors that will deliver good governance to Nigerians and take them out of poverty,” he said.

He praised the party’s leaders for their resilience amid hardship, stating that without them, there would be no PRP today.

“Over the past decade, the party faced intense challenges, as rivals backed by public funds dominated politics, forcing citizens to pay a heavy price.

“Despite adversity, loyal members of our party upheld integrity above personal gain. They chose principle over profit,” he said.

Emphasising legitimacy and the transparent nature of the just concluded party convention, Baba-Ahmed pledged a responsible leadership.

“I understand the weight of trust placed in me, and I pledge to uphold the values of the party.

“This key is more than wood. It unlocks opportunities, representing renewed access to governance for marginalised Nigerians,” he said.

He outlined the party’s priorities to include tackling insecurity, recruiting credible leaders, and promoting integrity in voting.

“We must reject short-term inducements.

“We are here to work for future generations. Nigeria can be fixed, and by God’s grace, we will fix it.

“We are here to win and govern, We want to change leadership character, and Nigerians are ready for change,” he said.

According to him, PRP is the credible alternative capable of delivering long-awaited national transformation.

Welcoming defectors, he said that they must be committed to service, not personal gain, to set ethical standards for new and existing party members.

He appealed to voters, not to follow politicians for small handouts, urging a collective responsibility in building a better and accountable Nigeria

The high point of the event was the presentation of the party symbol, registration certificates, and the constitution by the outgoing national chairman of PRP, Mallam Falalu Bello.(NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
