The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has commenced membership registration and revalidation exercise in Anambra.

ADC inaugurated the exercise in Awka on Saturday with stalwarts of the party in the state in attendance.

Speaking at the event, Mr Peter Obi, a former Governor of Anambra, called on Nigerians to participate actively in the political process.

Obi said this was important to ensure responsible leadership, transparency in governance.

In his part, Mr John Nwosu, said the membership registration and revalidation exercise was a critical step toward strengthening the party’s grassroots structure and preparing the ADC for future political contests.

Nwosu, who was the governorship candidate of the party in Anambra called on existing and prospective members of ADC across Anambra to participate in the registration and revalidation process.

“Our singular mission is to make Peter Obi the President of Nigeria,” he said.

Other stakeholders of ADC at the event were Sen. Victor Umeh of Anambra Central Senatorial District, Sen. Tony Nwoye of Anambra South Senatorial District and Chief Oseloka H. Obaze, former Secretary to Anambra Government among others. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
