The Ifako-Ijaiye Community Development Committee (CDC) has endorsed the lawmaker representing Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Adewale Adedeji, for re-election in 2027.

The endorsement was made on Wednesday by more than 132 Community Development Associations (CDAs) in the constituency.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Adedeji, who is the Majority Leader in the assembly, was first elected in 2019 and re-elected in 2023.

Leaders of the CDC and affiliated CDAs expressed confidence in Adedeji’s performance.

The CDC Chairman, Pastor Samuel Opajobi, described the lawmaker as an achiever and lover of mankind.

He said that the lawmaker was representing the constituency satisfactorily.

Opajobi cited Adedeji’s contributions in education, infrastructure development, youth empowerment and healthcare in his constituency.

Responding, the lawmaker, who is also the Chairman of the House of Assembly Committee on Transportation, thanked the CDC for support over the years.

According to him, Ifako-Ijaiye CDC has been a strong supporter of the APC and a reliable grassroots mobiliser.

He urged the CDC to continue supporting President Bola Tinubu’s administration. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
