The Kano Renaissance Group, (KRG) has declared its confidence in President Bola Tinubu-led administration to deliver the right democratic decision and policies for Nigeria.
Malam Suleiman Gaya, the group’s President, made this known in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.
He said this became obvious with tangible decisions already taken in selecting capable hands as his core aides in the office of the Chief of Staff and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Gaya said that the group was also desirous of seeing that the new administration was not distracted from its noble objectives of delivering the dividends of democracy to Nigerians that voted for it.
He, however, decried a situation where some group of persons and organisations are already running down capable hands that would assist in the smooth running of the new government.
“The attention of Kano Renaissance Group has been drawn to a series of nocturnal meetings being held with the sole purpose of working out mechanisms to malign the person of former ambassador and Chief of Army Staff, retired Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai.
“The bigger objective of these characters is to ensure the well decorated General, who served Nigeria and particularly the Nigerian Army with distinction, does not get an appointment, even though he gave his heart and all towards the success of the APC in the presidential election.”
The group warned those individuals to steer clear of their trademark mischief and allow Tinubu to face the arduous task of governance without distractions.
“The desperate attempts to confuse the President and make him abandon those who truly and wholeheartedly worked towards his electoral victory are dead on arrival.
“This is because Tinubu is known as a person who appreciates and rewards loyalty and will never yield to the nefarious antics of those who see nothing good in true patriots like Buratai.
“We want to assure these shady characters that that era is long gone. President Tinubu is focused and he knows those who will help him succeed in the arduous task of governing this complex nation, without being misled by self-serving characters,” he said.(NAN)
