Founder of Revival House of Glory International Church (RHOGIC), Goodheart Ekwueme, has lauded the Federal Government’s declaration of state of emergency on security situations in the country.

Ekwueme said that the government needed to tackle insecurity from multiple approaches, adding that declaring a state of emergency may just be one of the steps.

He said this in Abuja, on the occasion of the celebration of his 40 years in ministry.

“Declaring a state of emergency in security situations in the country is just a step, but I think there is much more to that.

“It is not only one thing that will solve the problem, the government also needs multiple approaches and I want to believe that they will and are working behind the scenes to tackle the situation from all angles.

“Without security in the country, it will be difficult for the nation to grow and improve its economy, and for the people to have a peaceful environment to work in.”

The cleric, who expressed joy and satisfaction for what he had achieved in the last 40 years in ministry, said that the celebration afforded him an opportunity to dream again.

“I feel very excited to be 40 years in Christ and in active ministry and to be alive, well and strong to still be able to dream again and see what God has in store and I know that there is much more ahead,” he said.

In a goodwill message, a former presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, (ADC), and a friend to the celebrant, Mr Dumebi Kachikwu, described the cleric as a man of wisdom who had impacted his generation.

Kachikwu, who was also the chief launcher of the occasion, said Ekwueme typified his name adding that his good deeds should be emulated.

He also called on all Nigerians to support the government’s effort in the fight against terrorism.

According to him, the important thing is for all Nigerians to join in the fight to end terrorism in the country.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that one of the highlights of the occasion was the inauguration of the Goodheart Ekwueme Ministry International (GEMI).

GEMI is dedicated to mentorship, soul winning, and support for vulnerable groups across communities. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
