By Philomina Attah

The YARI 774 Initiative for Asiwaju has presented Hon. Micah Jiba as its official Coordinator for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to lead grassroots mobilisation for the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking at a news conference on Wednesday in Abuja, the Convener and Chairman of the initiative, Mr Ibrahim Emokpaire, said the appointment was aimed at establishing a disciplined, authentic, and accountable leadership structure in the territory.

Emokpaire noted that the public unveiling was necessary to provide clear political coordination and clear the air regarding unauthorised individuals parading as representatives of the group in the FCT.

”Our ideology remains ‘the more, the merrier’ for genuine supporters of President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“However, the public deserves clarity on official leadership to eliminate confusion and discourage misrepresentation,” Emokpaire said.

He praised President Tinubu’s administration and commended the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, for his infrastructural drive in aligning with the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Emokpaire also acknowledged the appointment of the initiative’s Grand Patron, Sen. Abdul’aziz Yari, as the Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, expressing confidence in his capacity to deliver national victory.

He added that preparations were underway to inaugurate state executive structures across the 36 states and the FCT.

In his acceptance speech, Jiba, a former member of the House of Representatives and former Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), pledged to leverage his extensive network among local government stakeholders to secure victory for the APC in 2027.

“President Bola Tinubu is a sure connect for 2027, given his massive investments in road infrastructure that connect communities and boost local economies.

“Politics requires reaching the people at the grassroots.
“Having served as a councillor and AMAC Chairman, I assure our leadership that we will unite stakeholders across the six area councils to deliver the FCT to the party,” Jiba said.(NAN) www.nannews.ng
