A northern political group, Tinubu Lungu Lungu 2.0, says it has begun a data-driven campaign to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.
Its National Chairman, Abdullahi Sa’idu Gumau, told journalists on Wednesday in Bauchi that the group has transitioned from a 2023 campaign structure to a permanent, data-driven mobilisation system.
He said the shift was anchored on ward and polling unit coordinators ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“Tinubu Lungu Lungu 2.0 is not a campaign slogan, but a command structure built for results.
“In 2023 we mobilised as a campaign, and in 2027 we are mobilising as an institution.
“The difference is depth and permanence,” he said.
According to Gumau, the group now operates in all 774 Local Government Areas across the 36 states and the FCT.
“It runs through a chain of command from the national secretariat to state and LGA coordinators, ward representatives, and 8,809 polling unit commanders.
“We built on coordinators, data, and door-to-door engagement, not noise. That chain of command is why we will deliver more votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 than we did in 2023.
“Polling unit commanders are expected to mobilise eligible Nigerians to collect their Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs, and conduct house-to-house sensitisation in Hausa and other local languages to rally support for Tinubu,” he said.
He added that ward representatives would compile and submit weekly dashboards tracking new registrants, transfers processed, town halls held, and other activities.
The chairman said data would flow from the polling unit to the ward, to the LGA, to the state coordinator, and then to the national secretariat to ensure Tinubu’s victory at the polls.
Gumau identified the North-East region as the immediate focus, with plans to expand activities across 1,059 wards in the zone.
He said coordinators had been appointed to run activities in the six states, including youth and women mobilisation, community and town hall engagements, and outreach to farmers, unions, students, and artisans.
The coordinators are: Loice Alesa, Adamawa; Babakura Alhaji Ali, Borno; Abba Kolo Jampol, Yobe; Abbas Adamu Loddo, Taraba; Usman Dahiru, Gombe; and Nuhu Abubakar Gambo, Bauchi.
“They report to the national secretariat weekly, cascade directives to LGAs, and are accountable for targets, including voter registration turnout.
“Their mandate is specific: harmonise stakeholders, reconcile differences, and ensure one message across the six states. The structure exists to explain federal policies in households.
“When a farmer in Gamawa asks what subsidy removal means, our ward teams show how the savings are funding roads, schools, and healthcare centres.
“When a trader in Muda Lawal Market asks about credit, our polling unit commanders explain the Consumer Credit Scheme.
“And when parents ask about school fees, our teams point to the Student Loans Act, which has already opened doors for over 200,000 low-income students.
“An informed voter is a loyal voter, and this organisation ensures every household sees the Renewed Hope Agenda in their daily life,” he said.
According to Gumau, the group positions itself as a grassroots intelligence channel for the APC. It adopts a bottom-up approach by sending reports on fertiliser delivery, primary healthcare staffing, classroom rehabilitation, and rural roads to party leaders and agencies.
“A party that listens is a party that lasts. Under my supervision, Tinubu Lungu Lungu 2.0 is making that connection permanent,” he said.
On Bauchi, Gumau said the group supports the re-election aspiration of former Gov. Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar under the APC platform.
He said Abubakar, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) brings legal depth and respect for due process to governance.
Gumau added that Abubakar understands the state’s economy, security architecture, and development priorities as a former governor.
“Elders, former aspirants, youth leaders, and women groups are being integrated, with personal interests submitted to collective victory,” he said.
While commending APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yiltwatda, for restoring discipline, reconciliation, and focus, Gumau linked the group’s work to stability at the national party level.
“We are running PVC drives, new-registrant tracking, and community town halls with artisans, transport unions, students, and traditional institutions,” he said. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
