A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos State, has congratulated Gov. Seyi Makinde of Oyo State for the peaceful installation of Oba Rashidi Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Ladojaย  was on Friday crowned the 44th Olubadan,

Adeoye, President and Group CEO of Fendini Group, in a statement on Friday, also celebrated Ladoja, a former governor of the state, on his historic installation.

He described Makinde as a true kingmaker who had done so muchย  for the peace, development and economic advancement in Oyo State.

According to him, Makinde, has created the right environment for traditional rulersย  to work for the development of their domains and the state.

Adeoye said: โ€œWe must commend Gov. Seyi Makinde as the true Kingmaker of our time.

โ€œHis administration has masterfully balanced respect for tradition with bold strides in governance, restoring peace to our revered chieftaincy system while propelling Oyo State to unprecedented economic growth.

โ€œFrom infrastructure revolutions to youth empowerment initiatives, Makinde has woven development into the fabric of our traditional institutions, ensuring they thrive as engines of progress rather than relics of the past.โ€

According to him, under Makindeโ€™s visionary leadership, Oyo State has witnessed a surge in investments, job creation, and infrastructural advancements that have revitalised the economy.

โ€œThe agricultural value chains are booming, tech hubs are sprouting, real estate development is changing the face of the state to modern city and our traditional councils now stand as partners in sustainable development.

โ€œThis harmonious blend of modernity and heritage is the hallmark of a true Kingmakerโ€”one who does not just install kings but crowns an entire stateโ€™s future,โ€ he said.

He reaffirmed Fendiniโ€™s commitment to supporting initiatives that align with Makindeโ€™s transformative agenda.

โ€œAs a homegrown enterprise deeply invested in Oyo Stateโ€™s growth, the Group looks forward to collaborative opportunities in community development, cultural preservation, and economic empowerment,โ€ he said.

Adeoye said Ladojaโ€™s installation was more than a coronation.

โ€œOba Ladojaโ€™s ascension to the throne is not merely a coronation but a divine affirmation of leadership rooted in integrity and service,โ€ he said.

Adeoye said his installation marked a new chapter of cultural renaissance and communal harmony for the ancient city of Ibadan and Oyo State as a whole.

He addedย  that Ladojaโ€™s installation symbolised the enduring strength of Ibadanโ€™s traditional institution and its pivotal role in fostering unity and progress.

Adeoye described Oba Ladoja as a distinguished statesman and philanthropist.
