SMECore has been presented as Africa’s leading all-in-one compliance and business operations platform for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), the firm said in a statement on Monday.

The platform was showcased at the just concluded 2025 MSME Conference in Abuja, organised by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN).

The theme was “GROW Nigerian: Building a Future of Innovation, Resilience and Prosperity”.

The statement quoted the Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Sen. John Owan-Enoh, as saying that MSMEs account for nearly 95 per cent of Nigerian businesses and more than 85 per cent of national employment.

He noted that digital tools and strong business systems are essential for long-term sustainability.

The statement also quotes Mr Tony Elumelu, who delivered the keynote address.

He noted that many promising businesses fail due to weak systems and inadequate support structures, and called for stronger ecosystems to help SMEs grow sustainably.

Also, Mr Amu Ogbeide, Group CEO of Sapphital, outlined SMECore as “the missing link for building structure and promoting digital adoption across African businesses”.

He said the platform integrates finance, human resources, sales, inventory, quotations, customer management and operations into a single real-time interface, enhancing compliance, operational efficiency and access to credit.

Ahead of Nigeria’s tax reforms in January 2026, Taiwo Oyedele, Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, urged businesses to maintain proper records.

He said SMECore helps track revenue, set tax rates, monitor thresholds, and generate government-compliant reports automatically.

Experts noted that the platform’s modular design and Owner’s Dashboard provide real-time insights into cash flow, staff productivity, inventory and sales, enabling MSMEs to formalise operations, attract investment, and increase competitiveness.

Business owners were encouraged to visit www.smecore.africa to adopt digital tools that strengthen enterprise structure, improve governance and ensure sustainable growth. (NAN)
