A reality TV star, Victoria Chioma Ikhumhen, popularly known as Toria, has urged youths across the country to remain focused and stay true to their dreams in order to excel in life.

Toria made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Abuja.

She said her upbringing, alongside her two older siblings and with family roots in Edo and Abia states, helped shape her bold and expressive personality.

The reality TV star, who holds a Higher National Diploma in Mass Communication from the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (formerly Lagos State Polytechnic), advised young people to remain committed to their goals despite distractions.

According to her, social media has negatively affected the attention span of many youths, warning that not everything portrayed online reflects reality.

“I want young people to know that I represent every youth with big dreams who is still figuring things out but refuses to give up.

“Stay true to yourself, don’t dim your light for anyone, and trust that your journey is unfolding exactly as it should. I’m grateful for the love, and this is just the beginning,” she said.

Toria explained that creativity is fundamental to success in the entertainment industry, noting her deep love for music and her interest in curating playlists across different genres based on her mood.

She added that her passion for acting and scriptwriting had led her to feature in short films and commercial projects.

“Being in front of the camera feels natural to me because storytelling and expression have always lived inside me,” she said.

Beyond entertainment, she disclosed that she is also an entrepreneur, having recently launched a hair revamping brand, TOHRIA’s TOUCH, which grew from a childhood talent.

“Styling hair started as something I enjoyed doing for fun, and over the years it developed into a skill I am proud to share professionally.

“For me, it’s about helping people feel confident, beautiful and refreshed. Nigerian youths have a lot to offer, but to excel, they must remain focused and avoid distractions that steal time and attention,” Toria said. (NAN)
