Dr Yusuf Yakub, Director-General of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC), has hailed Amb. Yusuf Tuggar, Minister of Foreign Affairs, as he marks his 59th birthday, describing his service as unforgettable for Nigeria.
Yakub made the remarks in a statement by Mr Nkem Anyata-Lafia, Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, on Friday in Abuja, praising Tuggar’s outstanding impact on national leadership.
He said Nigerians would long remember Tuggar’s dedication to the country’s growth and his contributions to international diplomacy, which continued to strengthen Nigeria’s position on the global stage.
Yakub prayed that Tuggar would be granted wisdom and the strength of mind and body to continue serving Nigeria in various capacities.
“Happy Birthday to a leader, scholar and patriot. I join your well-wishers and admirers across the globe to celebrate this milestone in your journey of service,” Yakub said.
He commended Tuggar’s wisdom, personal sacrifices, brilliance, and nationalistic ethos, saying that those qualities set him apart as a leader whose contributions would linger in the nation’s memory.
“For me, my family, and on behalf of NTAC, we pray that you continually find the wisdom and strength as you serve our nation in diverse capacities. May Allah bless your new age,” Yakub added.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Tuggar, a former member of the House of Representatives and current Foreign Minister, has redefined Nigeria’s foreign policy under the Tinubu Administration.
His initiatives include the Tinubu Doctrine—a 4-D framework emphasising Democracy, Development, Demography, and the Diaspora—positioning Nigeria strategically in global affairs and earning accolades for performance.
Born in Bauchi State, Tuggar is widely respected for his intellect, engaging persona, and consistent contributions to public leadership, making him a distinguished figure in the current administration. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
