June 12: APC official lauds democratic success in Sokoto

Alhaji Muhammad Musa, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Zonal Vice-Chairman for Sokoto East, on Tuesday praised the success of democracy in the state.

 

The children described it as a testament to the leadership of Sen. Aliyu Wamakko, who represents Sokoto North Senatorial District.

 

Speaking to journalists, Musa said the state government under Gov. Ahmed Aliyu had continued to record uninterrupted success, delivering tangible dividends of democracy to the people.

 

He said the peaceful emergence of all APC candidates in the state demonstrated how effective democracy could be in meeting citizens’ needs.

 

“For us in the eastern zone of Sokoto State, where security challenges remain a top priority, we have witnessed real commitment from the government and our leaders,” Musa said.

 

He also spoke positively about Alhaji Umar Ajiyan-Isa, the zone’s aspirant, noting his longstanding dedication to public service even before entering politics.

 

“His presence will not only bring relief to our security situation but will also support government efforts to enhance the living standards of our people,” Musa added.

 

According to Musa, Ajiyan-Isa has been actively involved in humanitarian efforts across the eastern senatorial zone.

 

He has provided over 250 bags of grain and cash support to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of n response to an attack in Gandi village, Rabah Local Government Area, he donated food items and N2 million in cash to affected families.

 

In addition, Ajiyan-Isa had supported APC party operations by donating a new Toyota Camry to each of eight local government APC chairmen in the zone. He also distributed 1,000 motorcycles to party leaders to ease movement during the 2027 general election campaign period.

 

On the health front, Musa noted that Ajiyan-Isa has distributed 1,000 delivery kits to the eight general hospitals in the zone, aiming to reduce maternal deaths and assist families unable to afford medical care, particularly for pregnant women.

 

Musa estimated that the aspirant has spent over N18 million on supporting IDPs and vulnerable residents in the region.

 

The zonal vice-chairman expressed confidence in the APC’s prospects for the 2027 general elections, assuring that the party would emerge victorious across the eight LGAs in the eastern zone and beyond.

 

He urged the electorate to recognise the government’s efforts and President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to the people.od the state. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
