The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has congratulated Malam Ali Muhammad Ali on his reappointment as Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
The Director-General of the directorate, Mr Silas Agara, felicitated with the NAN Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in a congratulatory message on Wednesday in Abuja.
Agara expressed confidence that Ali would build on his achievements and records, taking NAN to greater heights during his renewed tenure.
He said “knowing you as I do, I have no doubt that you will continue to build on your remarkable achievements and legacies.”
He added that the reappointment reflected President Bola Tinubu’s confidence in Ali’s capacity to lead NAN and contribute to the administration’s objectives.
Agara said NDE also shared the confidence in Ali’s leadership, expressing optimism that he would surpass his previous records in the discharge of his duties.
He said “just as Mr President has expressed confidence in your capacity, we at NDE are equally confident that you will surpass your previous records.”
The NDE director-general wished Ali God’s protection, sound health, wisdom and guidance as he undertakes another three-year national assignment.
Agara also expressed optimism that Ali’s renewed tenure would be successful and impactful.
President Bola Tinubu approved Ali’s reappointment for another three-year term as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NAN on Aug. 23.
First appointed on Oct. 20, 2023, the second term will begin on Oct. 20, 2026.
Ali holds a graduate degree in International Affairs from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, a first degree in English from Bayero University, Kano, (BUK), and a Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication from BUK too. (NAN)
