English Premier League club Brighton and Hove Albion have announced the signing of young Nigerian forward, Zadok Yohanna from AIK Stockholm.

Brighton announced the signing of the highly-rated Nigerian young star in a post on the Club’s Facebook page on Saturday.

The statement reads, “Brighton & Hove Albion have agreed the signing of Zadok Yohanna from AIK Stockholm on a five-year contract until June 2031 for undisclosed terms”.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Yohanna turned down interest from numerous clubs including Chelsea, Manchester City and Newcastle to join Brighton.

The 18-year-old winger joined AIK Stockholm in 2025 from Ikon Allah Academy, Kaduna, Nigeria.

Yohanna’s impressive performance saw him gaining instant promotion from AIk Stockholm’s youth academy to the senior team within two months of joining the Swedish Club.

Yohanna, who is already under the radar of the Super Eagles Coach Eric Chelle, said he is very happy to join the EPL side.

“I am very happy to join this club because I know where I came from.

“I really wanted to make my family proud and I have done that,” the 18-year-old said.(NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
