The ADC Vanguard Support Group (ADC VSG) has endorsed Mohammed Hayatu-Deen’s candidacy for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential nomination ahead of the 2027 general election.

The endorsement was announced on Tuesday at Tobix Garden, Jahi, Abuja, before more than 500 ADC members, civil society representatives, and supporters drawn from across Nigeria’s geopolitical zones.

Speaking at the event, Convener, Mr Abdul Abdulkadir, described Hayatu-Deen as the candidate the party needed and the leader Nigeria deserved.

Abdulkadir said Hayatu-Deen carried no political baggage, failed ambitions, or factional debts, but brought more than four decades of experience in institution-building and job creation.

He emphasised that Nigeria needed a builder rather than another career politician, adding that Hayatu-Deen’s track record aligned with the country’s urgent demand for effective leadership.

According to him, Hayatu-Deen’s achievements position him as a credible alternative amid worsening economic challenges and growing public dissatisfaction across the country.

Abdulkadir said the group supported Hayatu-Deen because his leadership offered practical solutions and the potential for genuine national transformation.

On party unity, he said the aspirant represented a unifying force capable of strengthening the ADC ahead of the 2027 elections.

The group said that since declaring his ambition, Hayatu-Deen had emerged as one of the party’s most visible and organised presidential aspirants.

It added that his campaign had generated strong media presence, established a modern headquarters in Abuja, and deployed a structured digital advertising strategy.

According to the group, the endorsement further reinforces his growing status as a leading contender for the party’s presidential ticket.

Abdulkadir urged party delegates, members, and Nigerians seeking credible leadership to support Hayatu-Deen’s bid for national renewal.

He emphasised the need to embrace credible and forward-looking alternatives, noting that the ADC was established to provide such options.

In his response, Hayatu-Deen expressed appreciation to the group and supporters for the endorsement and confidence in his candidacy.

He said the ADC offered a credible platform to break away from recycled leadership and unfulfilled promises that had hindered national progress.

Hayatu-Deen reaffirmed his commitment to the party’s ideals and pledged to provide the direction needed to move Nigeria forward.(NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
