Foremost Capital Limited, an asset management firm, has secured the BBB+ rating from DataPro, a leading credit rating agency, its Managing Director/CEO, Emmanuel Akehomen, said this on Monday in Abuja.
According to Akehomen, BBB+ credit rating is a medium, investment-grade score given by major rating agencies.
“The rating is an indication that a company or government has an adequate ability to pay its debts, but bad economic changes could hurt this safety.”
He explained the rating was in recognition of the company’s financial and operational standards.
Akehomen said that the management remained committed to world-class standards at all levels of its business operations.
He said that the company’s assets had grown by 250 per cent from July to December 2025.
The managing director said that DataPro’s BBB+ rating provided an independent assessment of its financial strength and operating capacity, a strong liquidity position, supporting its ability to meet financial obligations and manage client investment activities.
He said that the rating demonstrated the company’s growing presence and capacity within the investment management industry and provided a positive indication of the company’s direction and potential for continued improvement.
”This rating by DataPro reflects our improving revenue generation and capacity to generate sustainable earnings.
”On strong governance and risk management assessment parameters, the rating recognises the importance of our governance, risk management, internal control, and compliance structures in supporting sustainable growth.
”This is just as the SEC-licenced asset management entity’s rating reinforces our position as a fully compliant participant in Nigeria’s capital market,” he said.
He said that the rating was a significant milestone, validating the company’s robust governance, liquidity and operational resilience.
