The Founder and Chairman of Strength Way Charity Foundation (SWCF), Mrs Bridget Abung, says the organisation has strategised to provide succour and access to justice to less privilege persons in the country.
Abung made this known at the official inauguration of SWCF on Sunday in Karu, Abuja.
Abung, who is also a legal practitioner explained that the journey started when her mother, Ngozi Udo and father, Akuse Udo were doing Charity works with their little salaries in Benue for victims of border crisis and others.
“I honour them in blessed memory today by taking up this legacy to a more formal level, so that their efforts here on earth would not go in vain, but continue to live on.
“We are registered with Corporate Affairs Commission in 2025, but have been doing the Charity for years now in Benue, Nasarawa State, Kogi States and FCT.
“Also, we collect from the rich and give to the poor, especially the displaced: we collect clothing, shoes, toys, cooking utensils, cutleries and anything you do not need.”
According to her, the organisation collect and take them to displaced persons in IDP camps, and share it to them.
”Some of these victims ran away from their villages with only the cloths on their body. They have nothing.
“Most time we go these displaced persons’ camps, they don’t have plates to eat, hence it is a serious challenge.

“Charity works to help the poor and less privileged is not for one person alone. It is a collective effort and responsibilities to make the society better for all of us,” she said.
She appreciated Little Consolar of Christ Orphanage, her husband, family, Nigerian Bar Association, Nyanya-Karu Branch, members of DILOGA and many others.
In his remarks the Chairman of the occasion, Dr Chris Nzeduru, emphasised that Abung conceived the idea from her parent, adding that it was good opportunity to support her.
“If you look at the objectives of the Foundation, you will have no option but to support her. Let us support our sister on this journey.
“Your little support, no matter how small will go a long way to contribute in helping the less privileged in the society,” Nzeduru said.
Abung immediate elder brother, Terngu Udo, an engineer, narrated the history of their parent that were tied to social responsibilities in Vandekya and Katsina Ala Local Government Areas in Benue.
“My sister took a step to work in the path of our parents, and that is why the entire family is in support of this idea”.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports different personalities from the legal profession, catholic community, NTA, Orphanages, NDLEA and others attended and contributed to support the SWCF.
