The Business Women of Influence for Renewed Hope Agenda (BWI-RHA), says it is set to canvass for massive votes to ensure President Bola Tinubu’s continuity and the harvest of benefits from his reforms.
Mrs Ngozi Oyewole, National Convener and Director-General of the group, made this known at a news conference and Pre-Launch of the BWI-RHA on Friday in Abuja.
Oyewole was represented by the Head of Public Relations of the group, Hajia Mariah Danjuma.
According to her, the group is not just an organisation but a national awakening of women determined to shape the future of Nigeria through enterprise, leadership, unity, influence and service.
“I stand before you today deeply honoured, humbled and inspired as we officially pre-launch the BWI-RHA, a platform created to mobilise women towards national development and success for renewed hope vision of Tinubu.
“We extend our appreciation to Tinubu for his courage, resilience, leadership and unwavering commitment to building a strong Nigeria in spite of the challenges confronting our country.
“Leadership is not tested in times of comfort, but in moments that demand sacrifice, bold decisions and national reconstruction.
“Today, Nigerian women are rising not merely as supporters, but strategic partners in nation building. We recognise that no nation can rise above the strength of its women,” she said.
She further said that no economy could truly prosper while women remained underrepresented, underfunded, unheard or excluded from opportunity, hence, the establishment of BWI-RHA to create a powerful national platform.
“We are bringing together market women, enterprenuers, professionals, farmers, industrialists, creatives, young women leaders, women in governance, technology, diaspora and grassroots, for national impact,” Oyewole said.
Oyewole added that the mission of the group included women empowerment, strengthening businesses, creating opportunities, supporting communities, raising leaders, promoting economic inclusion and contributing meaningfully to the RHA.
She said, “when you empower a woman, you empower a family; when you empower families, you strengthen communities, and when communities are strengthened, nation rise.
“I appeal to stakeholders, government institutions, ministries, agencies, department, development partners and the private sector to intentionally invest in Nigerian women.
“The future of our nation depends greatly on the economic participation, innovation and leadership of women.
“We commend the sacrifices of Minister of Women Affairs and all women serving in leadership positions across government institutions on their efforts in advancing the cause of Nigerian women,” Oyewole said.
According to her, Nigerian women are prepared to stand for peace, progress, productivity, enterprise and national transformation,” Oyewole said.
Also speaking, the Director of Media and Communications of the group, Ms Evelyn Onyilo, said Tinubu had put in place several reforms that would yield fruits for all Nigerians.
“We understand the rudiments of reforms and that is why we want to use this platform to canvass massive votes for Tinubu to continue in 2027 so that Nigerians can fully benefit from his reforms.
“We are putting in place foot soldiers and mobilisers to deliver on our mandate. We have structures, market, business women, rural women, youths and others,” Onyilo said.(NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
