The Chairman, Senate Committee on Diaspora and NGOs, Sen. Victor Umeh, has urged Nigerians to embrace informed real estate investment for sustainable wealth creation.

Umeh made the call at the launch of a book by Chairman of the Abuja Trade Centre (ATC), Dr Johnson Anene, titled, “Dynamics of Real Estate Investment”, on Sunday in Abuja.

Anene is also a Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV).

The event, which coincided with the author’s 60th birthday, attracted government officials, business leaders, diplomats, professionals and traditional rulers.

Umeh encouraged Nigerians to acquire sound real estate knowledge before investing to build sustainable wealth and support economic growth, adding that the real estate knowledge is a key to wealth.

According to him, knowledge is essential for building sustainable wealth and the informed real estate investment can create greater wealth and strengthen Nigeria’s economic development.

He described the book as a timely guide offering practical knowledge for investors, professionals and aspiring entrepreneurs.

He commended Anene for advancing Nigeria’s real estate sector through decades of professional service and investment advocacy.

The reviewer of the book, Prof. Adesoji Adesugba, described it as a practical resource built on over three decades of industry experience.

Adesugba, who is also the first Deputy President, Abuja Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), said the publication would benefit investors, practitioners, policymakers and students seeking deeper understanding of real estate investment.

The author said the book was written to bridge knowledge gaps in the industry by providing practical, research-based investment strategies.

Anene said that it also promoted informed investment and sustainable wealth creation, adding that successful real estate investment required knowledge, patience and strategic planning rather than wealth alone.

According to him, understanding market dynamics enables investors to make informed decisions and achieve sustainable returns.

“The book highlights investment signals, market trends and data-driven strategies to support sound investment decisions.

“It also advocates human capital development, improved housing delivery and greater contributions of real estate to Nigeria’s economic growth,” he said. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
