Indictment
Israel’s State Attorney’s Office on Wednesday filed an indictment against an Israeli woman accused of carrying out security offenses on behalf of Iran, according to a statement by the Israel Police.
The defendant, Shomou Abed, an Arab Israeli from the northern city of Nazareth, was arrested in March in a joint operation involving the police and the domestic security agency, Shin Bet.
Investigators allege that since October 2025, Abed had been in contact with an Iranian handler and performed multiple tasks in exchange for payment.
These tasks reportedly included photographing sensitive locations—such as military bases and the Haifa oil refineries—and providing information about a former security official. (Xinhua/NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
