Jesus Charity Home has commended a non-governmental organisation (NGO) for donating relief items to the orphanage, stressing the importance of supporting orphans and other vulnerable persons.
A caregiver in the orphanage, Ifeanyi Nwachuku, gave the commendation when the NGO, Wise Women with Initiative, delivered the materials to the home in Kuje, Abuja.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports the Abuja-based NGO, led by its President, Chinyere Akabuogu, donated food items, household supplies, and other essentials to the children.
Nwachukwu commended the NGO for its humanitarian outreach to the home, noting that the support came at a critical time.
“The children face many challenges daily. This visit has brought joy and hope to them.
“We appreciate Wise Women with Initiative for remembering us,” he said.
Earlier, Akabuogu said the visit was to share compassion beyond the material donations.
“Time and shared encouragement are as valuable as gifts. Every child deserves love, dignity and hope,” she said.
She called on individuals, the Kuje community and government agencies to support children with special needs.
“Sustainable change begins when communities unite to serve humanity,” Akabuogu added.
