The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, says the strength of any military institution lies not only in operational capability, but also in human capital development.

Aneke said this on Thursday in Abuja at the inauguration of the Chief of the Air Staff Youth Empowerment Programme (CASYEP).

The CAS said that the initiative held special meaning for him as someone shaped by the same environment the programme sort to uplift.

“I am a proud product of the barracks. I grew up within the same system as many of these young beneficiaries.

“Within our barracks reside young men and women of exceptional promise. They are immensely talented and capable.

“With the right support, mentorship, and exposure, they can achieve remarkable success and make meaningful contributions to national development,” he said.

Aneke explained that the CASYEP was structured to bridge existing gaps through targeted skills acquisition, mentorship, educational support, and access to opportunities that broadened horizons and inspired ambition.(NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
