The Chairman of Karu Local Government Council, Mr Abubakar Madaki, has commended Gov. Abdullahi Sule for his purposeful leadership and commitment to developing Nasarawa State.

Madaki made the commendation in a statement issued to newsmen on Thursday in Karu to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Nasarawa State and the 36th anniversary of Karu Local Government Area (LGA).

He described the anniversaries as milestones that provide opportunities to reflect on the journey so far, celebrate achievements and renew commitment to building a better future for the people.

“On behalf of my family, the Executive Council, Legislative Council and the good people of Karu Local Government Area, I congratulate you.

“I warmly felicitate the Governor of Nasarawa State and the entire people of the state on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the state and 36th anniversary of Karu LGA,” he said.

The chairman commended Sule for what he described as purposeful leadership and commitment to the development of Nasarawa State.

He said the administration had recorded progress in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, investment, human capital development and other critical sectors.

“His continued support for Karu has also contributed significantly to the development of our communities,” he added.

Madaki reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to translating government resources and opportunities into tangible benefits for the people at the grassroots.

He said the council had continued to focus on grassroots development, youth and women empowerment, agriculture, peace and security, social services and community infrastructure.

“Our guiding principle remains simple: Karu belongs to all of us and governance must serve everyone,” he said.

The chairman also advised the people of Nasarawa to look beyond political sentiments and objectively assess the government’s record as the 2027 general elections approach.

He said such assessment should be based on what had been achieved, what had changed and the direction in which the state and local government were moving.

Madaki said the progress recorded under the present administration deserved continuity and consolidation.

He encouraged the people of Nasarawa State to remain peaceful, discerning and engaging.

The chairman added that they should support the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidates if they believed the party’s record and programmes best served their interests.

“Together, let us continue to build a peaceful, united, prosperous and inclusive Karu LGA and Nasarawa State.

“Once again, I congratulate the Executive Governor and the entire people of Nasarawa State and Karu LGA on these historic anniversaries.

“May God continue to bless Nasarawa State, Karu LGA and the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he prayed.(NAN)
