The Society of Nigerian Broadcasters (SNB) has congratulated Malam Ali M. Ali on his reappointment as Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
President of the society, Prof. Umaru Pate, felicitated with the NAN MD and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in a congratulatory message on Wednesday in Abuja.
President Bola Tinubu approved Ali’s reappointment for another three-year term as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NAN on Aug. 23.
Tinubu noted that Ali was first appointed on Oct. 20, 2023, adding that the second term would begin on Oct. 20, 2026.
Pate said Ali’s re-appointment reflects the confidence placed in his wealth of experience, professionalism and leadership in Nigeria’s media industry.
“With your over three decades of experience in journalism and media management, we are confident that you will continue to lead NAN toward greater innovation, excellence and effective service to the nation.
“We wish you a successful and impactful second term and look forward to your continued contributions to the Nigerian media sector,” he said.
Ali, a veteran journalist and media manager with over 30 years of experience, holds a graduate degree in International Affairs from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, a first degree in English from Bayero University, Kano, (BUK), and a Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication, also from BUK.
