The National Teachers’ Institute (NTI), Kaduna, has released 608 Bachelor’s Degree Programme (BDP) certificates to its 2020 graduates under its affiliation with the University of Maiduguri.
The Director and Chief Executive of the institute, Prof. Sadiya Daura, announced this in a statement issued by the Head of Public Relations and Protocol Unit, Yusha’u Ahmed, on Thursday in Kaduna.
Daura said the certificates were released to the institute by the University of Maiduguri, adding that more certificates were expected to be released soon.
“We are pleased to inform you that the University of Maiduguri has released 608 certificates to the institute, and we are expecting more very soon,” she said.
Daura said the institute was aware of the anxiety and concerns caused by the delay in issuing the certificates to the affected graduates.
According to her, the management has remained in constant engagement with the University of Maiduguri and other affiliating universities to facilitate the speedy processing and release of pending certificates.
The director said the latest release was in addition to the 16,107 Bachelor’s Degree and Postgraduate Diploma in Education certificates earlier released by the institute’s affiliating universities.
She appreciated the patience, understanding, and cooperation of the affected graduates, while commending the University of Maiduguri for its collaboration and commitment to resolving the matter.
The NTI Chief Executive reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to the academic progress of students and graduates of the institute.
She said the institute would continue to work with its partner universities to ensure seamless certification processes and prevent graduates from being unduly disadvantaged by delays in certificate issuance.
Daura advised the affected 2020 graduates to proceed to NTI state offices across the country with valid identification documents to collect their certificates.
She, however, said further details on the collection schedule would be communicated through the respective NTI offices and the institute’s official communication channels. (NAN)
