Women and youths of Oluyole Federal Constituency have endorsed Alhaji Kehinde Olaosebikan of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest the House of Representatives seat in the 2027 election.
The groups described Olaosebikan, an accomplished journalist and seasoned politician, as the right man to represent the federal constituency that covers Oluyole Local Government Area, Ibadan South-West, Ibadan South-East, Ona-Ara, and Ido.
Speaking while presenting modern high-tech Public Address Systems (PAS) to the women and youth wing of the party at the PBAT-KO Grassroots Movement office in Ibadan on Wednesday, Olaosebikan assured Oluyole residents of adequate representation if given the chance.
Presenting the PAS, Olaosebikan said that he was ready for any method the party may adopt for the upcoming primaries in his constituency.
He said that his long-standing loyalty to President Bola Tinubu, years of service, and contributions to the party stand him out as the most qualified contender.
Olaosebikan, a former chairman of Oluyole Local Government, urged party leaders and members to prioritise competence and track record in choosing the party’s flag bearer.
“It is time for Oluyole to enjoy quality representation from a tested grassroots politician with experience,” he said.
Olaosebikan also said that Oluyole deserves the best for its economic, social, cultural, and political development in the state and Nigeria as a whole.
He further stated that he has remained consistently loyal as a member of the APC, without any history of defection even after losing in primary elections in 2019 and 2023.
For 2027, Olaosebikan, who served as the Regional Coordinator for Media and Publicity, South West, among other functions for the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council in 2023, declared that it was his turn to represent Oluyole Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
Women and youth leaders of APC in Oluyole Local Government, Mrs Kikelomo Akinleye and Mr Babatunde Lawal, respectively, on behalf of the groups across the 10 wards, expressed their support for the aspiration of Olaosebikan.
The youth leader thanked Olaosebikan for the donation and expressed readiness of the people to give him total support in the 2027 elections.
The woman leader for the local government, while expressing their support for Olaosebikan, said that the former Chief Press Secretary to Alhaji Lam Adesina possesses all the qualities of a great leader.
“We know that if he gets there, our party and Oluyole will be far better for it.
“With Olaosebikan, we are sure of a better life for all, both men and women,” Akinleye said. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
