President Bola Tinubu and some All Progressives Congress (APC) critical stakeholders have arrived at the party’s national secretariat for its National Executive Committee (NEC).
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that members of the committee started arriving at the party’s national secretariat at Blantyre Street in Wuse 2, Abuja as early as 9:00 a.m.
NAN reports that the NEC meeting is coming after the party’s caucus meeting held on Tuesday at the Presidential Villa.
All roads leading to the venue of the meeting had been cordoned off by a combined team of armed security men, while human and vehicular movements on the street had also been restricted.
The meeting is expected to discuss reconciliation of aggrieved APC members from its various chapters, inclusivity for new members and national issues.
Early arrivals at the meeting included: members of the party’s NWC members, Forum of APC State Chairmen, Sen. Ovie Omoagege and former Zamfara Governor, Sen. Abdulaziz Yari.
Others were: the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Sen. Atiku Bagudu and Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu. (NAN)
