Federal Government appointees and the All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders from Adamawa have resolved to ensure mobilisation for President Bola Tinubu and other candidates of the party ahead of 2027 general elections.
Their resolution was contained in a statement signed on Friday by Mr Nkem Anyata-Lafia, the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Director-General (D-G) of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC), Mr Yusuf Yakub.
The group stated that their resolution was reached on Thursday evening, at a strategic meeting held at the NTAC Complex in Abuja and the meeting was hosted and chaired by the D-G of NTAC, Yakub.
According to the statement, the gathering brought together prominent APC leaders, political stakeholders and Federal appointees from Adamawa to deliberate on unity, strategic coordination and broad-based support for the party in the state.
The participants reviewed factors that had constrained the party’s performance in the state over the years, particularly the absence of a coordinated and homogeneous approach among stakeholders.
They agreed to put those challenges behind them and move toward a more cohesive future.
The statement further said that the stakeholders emphasised the need to close ranks, strengthen internal collaboration and work with party structures at all levels to achieve shared political objectives.
The meeting also underscored the importance of strategic engagement among Federal appointees, party leaders, candidates and grassroots stakeholders.
It added that participants committed to translating the deliberations into concrete activities and coordinated mobilisation in the weeks and months ahead.
The statement further said that the meeting concluded with a pledge to intensify consultation, cooperation and coordinated activities in support of all APC candidates and programmes as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
Also, the stakeholders reaffirmed that sustained unity and collective responsibility would remain central to their engagements as they work to strengthen the party’s structures and political presence across the state.
In his welcome remarks, Yakub stressed the need for members to work toward a common objective.
He said unity, consultation and collective action were essential to strengthening the APC and expanding its political fortunes in the state.
The stakeholders present were APC North-East Zonal Vice Chairman, Mr Shuaibu Idris, the APC Governorship Candidate in Adamawa, Alhaji Ahmed Galadima and Sen. Binta Masi-Garba, former APC Chairperson, Adamawa.
Other were: Sen. Grace Bent, Managing Director of the Oil and Gas Free Zone Authority, Alhaji Bamanga Jada and Heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies from the state and other Federal Government appointees from Adamawa.(NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
