A mental health advocate, Fabian Igbaji, has urged Nigerians to tackle barriers limiting their potential by engaging in personal development.
Igbaji gave the advice in his remarks at the “Unstoppable Woman Impact Summit” organised by the Unstoppable Woman Network Africa, held in Abuja.
The network is a platform empowering women through personal development, knowledge and wealth creation, with a view to helping them rise as leaders.
He explained that there was a link between emotional well-being, personal growth, and leadership effectiveness.
According to him, true empowerment begins with self-awareness and healing, “Therefore, confront internal barriers that often limit your potential.”
He noted that unresolved emotional wounds could influence decision-making, relationships, and even career success.
“Part of healing is accepting that we do not and cannot know everything. Our personal experiences shape our reality, but they are not the full story.
“When the pursuit of perfection becomes overwhelming, it helps to view existence as vast puzzle where every unanswered question has its place.
“Not knowing everything can become source of peace rather than pressure. The present moment is your most vital tool.
“So, true transformation begins when individuals learn to anchor themselves in the now and allow space for growth beyond certainty,” he said.
Igbaji, also Lead Psychotherapist of Cyd Sessions Abuja, commended the network for putting the event together, adding that it continued to affirm its mission in equipping women with right tools and mindset.
The Unstoppable Woman Impact Summit founded by Mrs Ijeoma Igbaji in 2023, has become a hub for women seeking growth, mentorship, and meaningful connections.
The event, attended by women leaders, entrepreneurs and change-makers from across Africa, featured influential speakers, industry experts, and partners committed to advancing women’s leadership and empowerment across Africa. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
