Chief Joshua MacIver, a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa, has called for sincere resolution of internal divisions within the party ahead of the 2027 elections.

MacIver, a former deputy governorship candidate of the party, made the call in a statement to newsmen in Yenagoa.

The APC chieftain said that the party in Bayelsa would face mass exit of members if urgent measures were not taken to resolve internal misunderstandings.

“Unresolved internal imbalances can threaten the party’s cohesion in Bayelsa ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“Leaders of the party need to look inwards and address the concerns being raised by some critical stakeholders,” he said.

He commended the party for holding a successful state congress and congratulated the newly elected state executive led by Mr Warman Ogoriba.

MacIver reiterated the party’s commitment to the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“We need unity within the party to effectively throw our weight behind the president. We cannot achieve this goal with a divided house.

“We need to adopt a more inclusive approach in managing our party’s internal affairs in the state,” he said.(NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
