Nigeria’s Success Ogunjobi and China’s Hengzhi Cui completed a dominant week by winning back-to-back singles titles at the just concluded 2026 NASCO/ITF J30 World Tennis Tour Junior Championship in Abuja.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that 14 countries featured in the second week of the championship at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.
Ogunjobi swept the girls’ singles for the second week running after defeating compatriot Khadijat Mohammed 6-2, 6-1 in Saturday’s final.

She dropped just one set all week and also won the girls’ doubles title with Emmanuel Kwange.
Cui mirrored the feat in the boys’ singles, beating Nigeria’s Gbolahan Olawale 6-1, 7-6(8) to claim his second consecutive J30 Abuja crown. The Chinese star went unbeaten across both weeks.

In the Girls’ Doubles Final, Emmanuel Kwange (Nigeria)/Success Ogunjobi (Nigeria) defeated Khadijat Mohammed (Nigeria)/V.D. Rashmi Omaye Wijewardana (Sri Lanka) — 6-1, 6-2.
In the Boys’ Doubles Final, Jinxuan Cheng (China)/Hengzhi Cui (China) defeated Gbolahan Oluwajuwon Olawale (Nigeria) and partner — 6-2, 4-6.

“I’m happy with how I played all week,” Ogunjobi said after the final. “Beating my fellow Nigerians in the final shows how much our level has improved. I’m grateful to my coaches, parents and NASCO for the support.”
Tournament Coordinator Oke Joseph said the championship achieved its development goal.
“About 30 per cent of our Nigerian players were first-time ITF participants and they gained ranking points.
“The round-robin format gave every player more matches, and that experience will stay with them,” he said.
NAN reports that the ITF J30 Abuja forms part of the ITF Junior Circuit that provides young players with ranking points and exposure ahead of the professional tour.(NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
