An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Sam Onuigbo, says the inclusion of top politicians from the opposition party into the party’s Presidential Campaign Council is in order.

The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, (PDP) governors, Chukwuma Soludo (APGA) and Ademola Adeleke (Accord) of Anambra and Osun have been appointed into President Bola Tinubu’s campaign team.

Onuigbo represented Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency in the 8th Assembly.

The APC chieftain said the appointment was a function of democratic alliance forged out of solidarity for administrative excellence by President Tinubu.

He explained that some members of opposition parties passionately joined the campaign team for continuous happiness of the Nigerians people which he described as the essence of democracy.

“Democracy is a system of government that does not use force of the barrel of gun but applies consensual and understanding.

“The bottom line is having a good government that provides the highest happiness for the highest number of people which Wike and others have seen and aligned with,” he said.

Onuigbo scored Tinubu high in the areas of economy and reforms.

He said that Tinubu had placed Nigeria on the path of prosperity with increase in GDP, unified exchange rate and over 700,000 barrels of crude per day production.

Onuigbo reiterated his confidence in the preparedness of Tinubu to enhance Nigeria’s place in the comity of nations if re-elected.
