A surgeon, Dr Patrick Ezie, has pledged to provide effective and people-centred representation for AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in 2027.

Ezie, who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on the sidelines of the recent African Democratic Congress (ADC) convention in Abuja, said he would contest under the partyโ€™s platform.

He said his ambition reflected his commitment to grassroots development, quality leadership and improved service delivery.

Ezie, a medical doctor, humanitarian and Executive Director of Silver-Cross Hospital and Foundation, Abuja, actively participated in the convention and engaged with party stakeholders.

He commended the resilience and unity within the ADC, noting that strategic collaborations had sustained the party in spite of the political pressures.

Ezie reaffirmed his commitment to effective representation and inclusive development across the constituency.

He praised party leaders and members for remaining steadfast amid challenges in Nigeriaโ€™s democratic space.

According to him, the partyโ€™s determination reflects a shared commitment to strengthening democratic ideals and building a better nation.

Ezie said his track record in healthcare and humanitarian services had prepared him for public office.

He said he had carried out over 200 free caesarean section surgeries, about 40 breast cancer surgeries, and several free medical screening programmes.

The surgeon said the interventions were aimed at improving access to quality healthcare for underserved communities.

โ€œI have also supported grassroots political participation and community development initiatives across the constituency,โ€ he said.

He said his contributions during local government elections included financial support, medical outreach and mobilisation efforts in areas such as Kubwa Ward.

Ezie pledged to revitalise primary healthcare centres in the constituency to address existing gaps in service delivery.

He also outlined plans for women empowerment, youth development, job creation and provision of critical infrastructure.

โ€œI am committed to transparency, accountability and quality leadership, because effective governance must be people-centred and results-driven,โ€ he said.

Ezie expressed optimism about the future of the constituency, saying the time had come to pursue sustainable development and inclusive growth. (NAN)(www.nannews.n
