The Zeberced Group, a limited liability company, says it plans to provide vocational training to 2,000 young Nigerians and create 40,000 direct jobs across West Africa.
The company also announced plans to establish a FIFA-approved football academy for children and youth to nurture talents for national and international opportunities.
The Managing Director of Zeberced Group, Mr Adil Aydin Kurt, disclosed this when the executive members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council, paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja on Friday.
The delegation, led by the Council’s Chairperson, Ms Grace Ike, visited the Abuja Industrial Park Free Zone to explore areas of strategic collaboration with the company.
Kurt revealed that the proposed Technical and Vocational Training School would admit and train about 2,000 young Nigerians annually in various fields.
He said the project would create 40,000 direct jobs, addressing unemployment, strengthening the industrial workforce, and promoting entrepreneurship nationwide.
”Zeberced is working on a vocational school to offer training to young Nigerians, providing 40,000 direct jobs,” Kurt stated during the meeting.
According to the design, the school will offer training in construction, machine design, motor vehicle, plumbing, metal, furniture, and electrical technologies.
Kurt added that the institution aims to equip youths with practical, industry-relevant skills for employment and self-reliance.
Reaffirming confidence in Nigeria’s future, he said Zeberced remained committed to long-term investments and accelerating human capital development.
”We need to bring qualified people from different parts of the world to Nigeria because the future is Africa,” Kurt said.
Beyond education, Kurt disclosed plans for a FIFA-approved football academy dedicated to grooming talented children for professional sports careers.
He revealed the company operates Africa’s first integrated mining quarry, expanding investments across manufacturing, construction and other strategic sectors.
The Managing Director said Zeberced plans to facilitate hundreds of factories within the Idu Industrial Area to boost local manufacturing.
He said the industrial development project, which commenced 15 years ago, progressed steadily through resilience and sustained investment.
Kurt explained that investments in manufacturing, furniture and plastics would significantly contribute to Nigeria’s industrial transformation.
He stressed that Zeberced’s philosophy was anchored on creating sustainable value through strategic investments, technology transfer, and job creation.
Responding, Ike commended the company for its immense commitment to youth empowerment and national development.
She described the project as a timely intervention to address unemployment and support Nigeria’s economic diversification agenda.
Ike also briefed the managing director on the Council’s ongoing ultra-modern Congress Hall project, which had reached advanced stage.
She appealed for Zeberced’s support to complete the facility, which would host congresses and professional training programmes.
In his response, Kurt expressed the group’s willingness to support the project, reaffirming its commitment to partnerships that would strengthen public institutions.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Zeberced Group has operated in Nigeria since 2007, with investments in manufacturing, construction, and infrastructure development.(NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
