Lagos, May 15, 2026 (NAN) Alfa Designs Nigeria Ltd. has showcased its Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) solutions at the 2026 West African Automotive Show (WAAS), reaffirming its commitment to cleaner, cost-effective energy alternatives.

The company disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday during the three-day exhibition in Lagos.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that WAAS is one of the region’s leading automotive and mobility exhibitions.

The exhibition brings together stakeholders across the transport, energy, technology and manufacturing sectors.

It also provides platform for manufacturers, solution providers, investors and industry operators to showcase innovations and explore business opportunities in West Africa’s automotive value chain.

Commenting on the company’s commitment to CNG solutions, the Managing Director of Alfa Designs, Mr Quadri Fatai, said the company would continue engaging vehicle owners, transport operators and industry stakeholders on the benefits of CNG adoption.

According to him, the benefits include lower fuel cost, improved efficiency and reduced emissions.

“The experience so far has been impactful, with encouraging engagement and growing interest from visitors and industry stakeholders in our CNG products and conversion offerings,” he said.

Fatai expressed optimism that WAAS would continue to create opportunities for collaboration, networking and market expansion within the automotive and energy sectors.

He said this year’s edition focused on innovation, sustainability, vehicle technology and the future of mobility in Africa.

The company displayed a range of CNG products and conversion systems, including CNG cylinders and cascades, combustion kits, dual-fuel conversion kits and CNG-powered generators.

It also showcased conversion solutions for trucks, vehicles, tricycles and other automotive applications.

According to him, the growing adoption of CNG aligns with Nigeria’s ongoing energy transition drive aimed at reducing dependence on petrol and diesel following the removal of fuel subsidies.

He added that the Federal Government had continued to promote CNG as a cheaper and cleaner alternative fuel for transportation and industrial use under the Presidential CNG Initiative.(NAN)
